In recent years, with various fields of small parts, micro machining tools, surface micro structure of the processing needs increasingly urgent, variety of micro-processing technology are also increasingly in-depth research at home and abroad. Because each micro-machining method has its own advantages, but there are certain limitations. To design a set of various micro-machining functional modules in multifunctional micro-machine tools for micro-machining research is very important. This paper is mainly responsible for the design and experimental study of micro turning, micro milling module of a multifunctional micro-machine tools.Micro turning, milling is derived from the traditional cutting technologies. In order to study the influence of processing parameters on micro machining efficiency, forming quality, seek the optimal processing parameters, and further validation the feasibility of the traditional method in micro machining field, we designed the micro machining modules.We mainly based on the desire of the shape of the workpiece, size, materials requirements, taking into account the spindle stiffness requirements in the processing, spindle type are selected for the micro turning and micro milling module. There is a big difference due to the micro-machining and traditional turning or milling machine, workpiece will easily deformed when forced.Micro-cutting tool chipping and wear easily in the processing, so the selection of micro-machining tool is also very critical.Feed system was designed with a popular mode, which named "macro and micro composite". The system give a good solution to the contradiction between the larger itineraries required setting the tool and tiny cutting required in micro-machining. At the same time, Harsh environmental conditions required for micro-machining, such as external vibration, ambient temperature, noise and other factors, constitutes a disadvantage of the micro-machining, this paper has taken various measures to minimize the interference of processing.Using the developed micro processing module for a micro milling and micro turning experiment. Analysis of the milling spindle speed, feed rate, cutting depth and other parameters on surface roughness of the law, and the processing of the workpiece to produce burrs is studied. We used4mm Diameter brass rod material micro shaft turning processing in micro turning experiments, discusses the optimal process and cutting parameters in turning, and using the optimum cutting conditions and processing of a400μm micro-fine shaft.
