The successful research of metal packers can meet the demands of separate layer chemical-flooding injection, well completion for casing damage wells, water injection in the low permeability reservoirs and uncontrolled well operations. It also may help avoid the problems that happened in the normal packers — small inner diameter, poor resistance to temperature, pressure and corrosion.The paper presents:Both the optimal structure of alloy element of Packer and that of its correspond matching cone have been determined by experiments and finite element method.both the alloy material's performance, social use, smelting procedure and the metal packers' structure, principle, the traditional packers' advantages and disadvantages. The influence of sealing and releasing ability and hanging performance on the packers are the highlights of our discussion.Through contrasting NiTi alloy thread stretched and after Metal Packer is setted up,how the temperature influence it. Specially,analysis the relationship of strain and stress between temperature and Metal Packer.Make right steps for the influence of temperature to ensure inflence advantaged setting and unsetting of the Metal Packer.The property tests on the Packer,instructure improved have revealed that when the packing force is 350KN,The Metal Packer achieves the sealing pressure of 35Mpa, hanging force of 200KN, releasing force of 180KN. All performance can satisfy the field demand.
