Moderate refinement of grain is an effective method to enhance service and shaping properties. ECAP (Equal Channel Angular Pressing) is a technique subjecting materials to extensive deformation by simple shear and used to make an ultra-fine grained board and stick. At the present time, the technique was given extensive attention and developed quickly. C2S2 (Continuous Confined Strip Shearing) is a new method based on ECAP to make ultra-fine grained board.In this paper, the design of C2S2 testing equipment is improved firstly. In the process of analysis and design, the macroscopically mechanical model which was located in the corner of die was established in instance of having friction. The method of calculation was chosen by the model and the intensity of tester was checked. Then MAFAP-2D software was used to simulate and analysis the effect of coefficient of friction and angle Ψ on the experiment .These works provide forceful technical guarantee and academic guidance for the preparation of sample.1050A aluminum plate, T2 copper plate of 2mm thick are chosen as testing material and machining them with 6 or 9 passes. The evolution law and fine effect of the microstructure on the Y plane was summarized through metallographic experiment. The grain of 1050A aluminum sample is improved from 12.4μm to 5.5μm through C2S2 deformation with 5 passes and the consistent grain size is got at the same time. The grain of T2 copper sample after 580℃×40min annealing is refined from 54.3μm to 13.8μm through C2S2 deformation with 6 passes and the grain has obvious directivity.Tensile and hardness tests show that material has got a better intensity and hardness performance after C2S2 deformation. The tensile strength of 1050A aluminium sample is improved from 240MP to 360MPa after C2S2 deformation with 5 passes and the hardness of 1050A aluminium sample is improved form...
