Al(OH)3 is an inorganic flame retardant agent. Its flame retardance ability increases with the increase of the concentration of Al(OH)3. However, the polymer mechanical performance and processing capabilities can be deteriorated, when filling volume exceed 60%. Meanwhile, the low decomposition temperature of Al(OH)3 limits its application in thermal plastic. Nanometer Al(OH)3 is a fine inorganic flame retardant agent, because it not only has better flame retardant performance, but also improves mechanical performance and processing performance of polymer.In the paper, nanometer Al(OH)3 was prepared by homogeneous precipitation- azeotropic distillation method, where aluminum nitrate and urea were used as raw materials. A program was carried out to investigate its preparation, dispersion and decomposition. The following conclusions can be drawn from experiments:(1) The relation between average diameter and synthetic condition can be expressed by the following equation:Y = 9.58×10-4X12 -0.996X1 +76.54lnX2 + 1.27X32 -25.25X33 + 435.4X42 -1835.52X4+2320.84From the experiment and the equation, we can get the optimum condition for the...
