Organic nanoparticles have a broad, continuous excitation spectrum. They are also phto-chemically stable and they have high fluorescence quantum yields and long fluorescence lifetime. The high selectivity and sensitivity should be acquired when the nanoparticles are used to detect the macromolecules and applied in analytical chemistry. In this work, four kinds of organic nanoparticles have been successfully prepared in water, and we have studied reaction of the nanoparticles with DNA, NO2-,nucleic acids and Hg(II) respectively. The possible mechamisms were also studied. The content consists of following two parts. In part one, we prepared three ramification of pyrene nanoparticles by reprecipitation method under ultrasonic radiationand characterized with TEM.The determination of organic nanoparticles to DNA, NO2 -,and nucleic acids werestudied by using fluorescence. And some ultrasensitive determination of DNA, NO2-, and nucleic acids methods were proposed. The possible mechanism has been studied. In part two, emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization prepared poly2- vinly-naphthalene -acryclic acid nanoparticles under ultrasonic radiation. The surface of polymer was covered with abundant carborylic groups (-COOH). A high sensitive fluorescence probe for Hg(II) determination was also proposed.
