Derrick as one special apparatus of petroleum drilling production, price is c(?)tly and safe performance requirement is strict. During derrick service cycle, its situation of receriving pressure is complicated. Besides bearing the weight load of drilling craft for cooperating with drill, it shall receive the moving load of disassembly, transport, hoisting and assemblage etc. from transferring well location, in addition it shall receive the influence of corrosion and environment while using, also the natural function of vibration and earthquake. Disassembly, transport, assemblage, drilling, disassembly, transport, assemblage, drilling...Circulation in this kind of work process, what will the bearing capacity of the derrick change? Whether to continue using it normally? How to evaluate its safety and reliability? The service life of drilling derrick is estimated according to experience at present. On the normal service situation, the total service life of derrick over ten years should be scraped. According to investigating, many drilling derricks service life have been over ten years in succession. But in present ec(?)nomic situation, it is impossible to change the new derrick immediately. It is important to implement the evaluation of derrick reliability and extend service time rationally. It is the key of this research subject, too.In order to get a prospective satisfied result, to work out the scientific method of research of derrick safety and reliability and corresponding test technology on site, we plan to adopt the research line of that test research, analysis and research of theory model, and experimental study of the model simulation, and supplement and harmonizing each other. The study content mainly includes: 1. Design of database; 2. Set-up of derrick mechanical model; 3.Research of safety and reliability evaluation method and soft; 4. Intensified test of model derrick; 5.
