Synthesizing And Emulsifying Of Silicone With Hydrophobic And Hydrophilic Group And Application In The Leather

As the requests for the silicone material from the industries varied, the silicone products with new use including many modified silicone oil emerge in endlessly. Song Mizhao in our lab obtained silicone with hydrophobic and hydrophilic group by hydrosilylation between macromolecule monomer with polymehtylhydrosiloxane for the first time. The modified silicone oil was prepared by carboxyalkyl and long chain alkyl acylate groups grafted to polymehtylhydrosiloxane chain. On a basis of it, the synthesis process was consummated and emulsifying of silicone with hydrophobic and hydrophilic group and application in the leather was studied in this paper.The main content in this paper includes, (1) the sophisticated synthetic method of silicone grafted with methyl methacrylate and long chain alkyl acrylate was obtained. The content of methyl methacrylate in toluene was investigated by gas chromatography in order that the feasibility of recycling the toluene as solvent was studied. (2) The modified silicone was hydrolysed by toluene-p-sulfonic acid, and the hydrolysis ratios in acid and base were compared. The hydrolysis ratio was investigated by acid-base titration, and the structure of resulting product was investigated by FTIR. (3) The stable emulsion of the modified silicone was prepared by selecting kinds and amount of surfactants and co emulsifiers with micro emulsified method. The stability of emulsion was investigated by bin stability. (4) The compatibility was investigated by testing the physical properties of film formed by the emulsion of the modified silicone and polyurethane-finishing agent.
