Cobalt nanoparticles exhibit very interesting electronic, magnetic, sensitive properties and surface stability which differ from those of the common sized cobalt powders because of the large specific surface area and the sharp increase of the surface atom number, surface energy and surface tension with the decrease of particle size. Therefore, cobalt nanoparticles with excellent performances have many important industrial applications, such as electronic industries, magnetic materials, cemented carbide alloy, surface spray, chemical catalysis fields and so on . As a bond material for hard metal tools, cobalt powders are the best material. Thus, the metal cobalt powders have widely needed in the industry of cemented carbide alloy. There are many methods of the preparation of ultrafine cobalt powders and cobalt nanoparticles, in which the chemical reduction in liquid phase is the common used method in laboratory and in industry. Up to now, the methods and technique of the preparation of ultrafine cobalt powders are complex and high energy cost. Moreover, the granularity of cobalt powders obtained by present methods is relatively large, hence these products can not show their good performance perfectly.
