It is though that further improving the quantum efficiency and catalytic activity of nanosemiconduct is one of the key issues in environmental science research field The surface chemical modification means such as conventional thermal treatment ,radiation etc have been used to fabricate the TiO2 nanospecies and XRD,TEM,DRS,SPS etc are employed to characterize the fabricated TiO2 samples.It is found that the recombination of photogenerated electron and hole was greatly reduced,also the BET surface area of the fabricated titania sample increased.It is found that fabrication of nano-TiO2 could tail the crystal structure,surface-interface structure and sensitivity to visible light,which would favor the separation and transfer of photo generated charge carriers.For titania samples treated with microwave,it is noticed that the fabrication could impact the oxygen species adsorption capability of titania samples,which could be helpful for migration process of photogenerated electrons to surface adsorbed oxygen species.The photocatalytic oxidation of cyclohexane over the fabricated titania photocatalyst under mild conditions were investigated by using in-situ FT-IR techniques,and the relationship between the structure characteristic and catalytic properties of nano fabricated TiO2 catalyst were correlated in terms of the obtained results.It is drawn that the fabrication play a key role in tail the structure and catalytic properties of TiO2 nano samples.For thermal fabricated TiO2 samples,it is noticed that the fabrication could modify the surface structure,phase structure and absorption capability to light.Whereas,for microwave irradiated TiO2 catalysts,it is thought that the fabrication could favor the formation of shallow surface-defect,which could capture the migrated electrons and avoid the recombination of photogenerated charge camers.The higher catalytic oxidation active of cyclohexane is due to the optimum crystal structure,surface structure and crystallinty caused by fabrication.In situ FT-IR spectra of the photocatalytic reactions indicated that the main reaction products is CO2 and H2O .Some of the intermediate species such as CO and Acetic acid are detected,the reaction pathway has been proposed in terms of the reaction results.
