Study On Correlation Between The Performance Of Long Fiber Filtering And Quartz Sand Filtering

The correlation between the long fiber filter and quartz sand filter filtering the effluent of sedimentation tank in supply-water factory was studied in this paper. In the process of the test, the long fiber filtering and the quartz sand filtering was operated at the meantime. The author tracing determined some filtering parameters of the two kinds of filtering system in different work condition, including filtering velocity, filtering periodic, filtering resistance and the quality of yielding water. According to the filtering parameters, the author calculated the average filtering velocity, periodic trapping suspended load amount, periodic yielding water amount and the average removing of the pollutant. The author analyzed the running regularity and inner link of the filtering parameters based on the mechanics of the long fiber filtering and the quartz sand filtering. According to the require of back washing condition of the two filtering system, the long fiber filter and the quartz sand filter were back washed with the mode of air and water combination in different force and different unit. In response to the test consequence, the author defined the proper back washing mode, time and force of the two filtering system. On the ground of the study of correlation between the long fiber filtering and the quartz sand filtering, the predominance of the long fiber filtering was certificated.The filtering process on the effluent of sedimentation tank in SuoJinCun sewage treatment plant by the long fiber filter was also studied in this paper. On the ground of the original device, the author changed the fiber filter material with the more coarse fiber filter material. In the course of the test, the author tracing determined some filtering parameters of the long fiber filtering in different work condition and analyzed the running regularity and inner link of the filtering parameters. From the results of the filtering test, the author analyzed the difference between supply-water filtering and waste-water filtering. This study approached the application of the long fiber filtering in the field of waste-water treatment, and the study is also the supplement information of the long fiber filtering.In the last of the paper, the author analyzed the necessity and feasibility of the project in which the quartz sand filtering bank will be rebuilt in the long fiber filtering bank. The information should be an economic and technological reference in engineering field.
