The Ultra Light Metal Structure with various kinds of pores (open, close) realizes the lightness and multifunction of structural material. a new type of spherical pore Al alloy foam with low porosity becomes a new trend of research work. In order to meet the requirement, this paper take a graphic analytic technology aided by computer and fem method to study on the fractal characteristic, fire-proof function and mechanics function of foam aluminum.Makes use of the graphic analytic technology aided by computer, this paper carry on the research on the characteristic of fractal of cell structures of foam aluminum according to fractal theory. The foam aluminum hole shape has the characteristic of fractal and can be descript ed by fractal dimension. As growth of the foaming time, the trend of factal dimension become big gradually.Make use of an analysis software of ANSYS to imitates the temperature field to distribution of the Al alloy foam t of he back face of the fire in the heat to high temperature .Its distribution regulation is the temperature goes up quickly in start shorter time,rises slowly and goes to a constant at last.Its heat conduction function is lower than fine aluminum metal alloy, but its fire-proof function is obvious better than fine aluminum metal alloy.At heat of 660℃its fire-proof extreme limit is infinitly long,its fire-proof extreme limit is the 108 s while being heated to 705℃.Make use of the software of ANSYS/ LS- DYNA to imitate the static compressive process of spherical pore Al foam. The process can be divided into three stages: the linear elasticity, the plastic and densification. the deformation mechanism is to become to deformation localization and to collapse from the center of layer step by step.The micro deformation is very irregular.
