The Study Of Development Strategy Of The CRO In China

This thesis is to make an initial study of the CRO development strategy through the utilization of some quantitative analysis methods.The thesis separated into seven parts. The first one is to present a brief introduction of the basic concept of CRO, and explain the importance of the CRO development strategy investigation in the current stage by integrating with the current situation. It also introduces the basic thinking and working methods of this thesis. The second part gives a detailed statement of development situation in the same industry abroad by reviewing the CRO generation background and historical development. The third part is to give an introduction of the opportunity and challenge in the medical and pharmaceutical industry after China joining WTO thereby expounding how to manage the situation of the globalization after the foreign CRO entered into Chinese market. The fourth and fifth parts details the internal and external factors affecting the CRO industry thereby ensuring that the better understanding of the external environment and internal-condition of CRO industry as the foundation to develop the unique industrial developmental strategy. The sixth part performs a quantitative analysis of the internal and external factors affecting the CRO industry through the utilization of the AHP Analysis, EFE and IFE matrix, etc. The last part eventually determinates the unique CRO developmental strategy after review analysis of the backup solution through the utilization of SWOT analysis and QSPM matrix.Through systemical analysis and investigation mentioned above, it is proposed that multiple services are important means of the current local CRO development that supporting to fulfill the technical requirement including clinical test in the domestic pharmaceutical enterprises, take full advantage of the resource to participate in the international clinical test, consequently work out the proposal of rebuilt the core competitiveness to the small local CROs under the current situation.
