The tetracycline waste water has high concentration, complex components, a great deal hard biodegradation and toxicity materials, and lower biodegradation capability. In the base of research inside and outside, according to the tetracycline waste water from Yangzhou certain medicine Ltd., this paper adopt anaerobic and aerobic method to study on the biodegradation of main contamination in waste water. Several conclusions were summarized as follows:(1)Pure materials as anhydrooxytetracycline and doxycycline could be biodegradation by long-playing domestication. They all have inhibition to methane bacteria; the inhibition of doxycycline was higher than anhydrooxytetracycline, because the sterilization of tetracycline dehydration was lower. Slight inhibition was caused when concentration of anhydrooxytetracycline were blow 200mg/L.Middle inhibition when concentrations of anhydrooxytetracycline blow 200mg/L. High inhibition when concentration of doxycycline was excess 200mg/L.(2)Anaerobic intermission experiment indicated that the different inhibition among different concentrations waste water. Along with increasing concentration, inhibition by waste water increased, and area coverage of producing methane moved backwards. When the concentration of CODCr was 1800~4000mg/L, the rate of biodegradation was 45%, and the removal rate of CODCr 43.46~49.26%.(3)By anaerobic treatment of the tetracycline waste water, biodegradation capability has been improved. Adopt low organic volume loading rate in normal temperature, the start-up organic volume loading rate was 0.25kgCOD/ (m3·d). Initial stages VFA lower than 300mg/L, along with increasing concentration, increased alkalinity properly in order to keep the ratio of alkalinity and VFA from 1.5 to 2.8. The outflow of pH was 7.1~7.4.(4)SBR which treated the outflow of anaerobic treatment was an effective aerobic treatment. Adopt non-restricted aeration, one operation periodicity was 24 hours, reaction time as well as aeration time was 20h, sedimentation time was 2h, leave unused time was 2h, and outflow by siphonage in leave unused time. The system rather stably operated, was able to bear high load. When the concentration of CODCr, NH3-N were 1780~5520mg/L,67.76~161.63mg/L respectively, the average of removal rate were 82.20%,74.12% respectively.(5)The study on experiment indicated that treated the tetracycline waste water by anaerobic - aerobic treatments was feasible. The anaerobic system stably operated when HRT≈4.4d, 1.85~2.11 kgCOD/(m3·d) organic volume rate, the average of removal rate of CODCr was 38.41%; Adopt SBR in aerobic treatment, the average of removal rate of CODCr was 82.20%.the whole average of removal rate of CODCr could reach 89%.
