The kernel of chemical novel technology is engineering research, and the key of engineering research is process design. Chemical process design method consists of conceptual design and engineering design. At present there are two methods to implement chemical process design, that is, theoretical calculation and experiment. Details of process synthesis combining these two methods are studied in this paper, and are applied to treatment of Eastman organic waste water. The combination is proposed in this paper to supply some necessary parameters for simulation of Eastman waste water process. ASPEN PLUS, one famous commercial simulation software in chemical engineering, is used to simulate first, and optimum plan is chosen later. Experiment operation is carried out based on the simulation results, and the experiment data are analyzed by MATLAB to overcome the absence of simulation parameter data. Then simulation and analysis are performed iteratively until optimum design and operation conditions are retrieved.Eastman organic waste water process is studied with above-mentioned method. Because it has high concentration of various organics and has complicated structure, it contaminates environment heavily. The flow rate of it is 1011 kg per hour, and chemical oxygen demand in it is about 60000 mg per liter. This paper gives several steps to deal with such a process. Firstly, some possible schemes are simulated with ASPEN PLUS. And then the scheme of extraction using an inner synthesized...
