The paper analyzed the wear appearance, mechanism and principles in the machining of high pressure laminated (HPL) flooring by polycrystalline diamond cutting tool cutting, and got the wear mechanism and main reason though some experiments. Milling force of circular peripheral-mill cutting HPL flooring was analyzed, preparing for digital simulation. In the base of cutting metal theory, analyzing the process of the two-dimensions free orthodoxy HPL flooring cutting, utilized the fundamental idea of FEM. Through digital simulation, got the precise and vivid whole cutting process, stress and strain distribution drawings based on the large software ANSYS, and supported the simulation of cutter geometry parameters optimization efficiently. By means of the technique, it is achieved the series simulation in various conditions by changing the reasonably designed through analyzing cutter's stress distribution of various geometry parameters and selecting optimization criterion.
