In this paper, the preparation method of release agent and its capability are studied. This kind of release agent will be used in heat transfer film, which can buffer cling strength between PET film and printing layer. The release film can protect color ink, reduce ultraviolet intensity, decrease attack from bad factor in air, extend using time of ink.The preparing process contain surface modified of release matter and synthesis of release agent. By constituting orthogonal test and range analysis on the stockpile stability of release agent, coating film solidify, peeling intensity and release percentage are discussed. The three main factors include the kind of release matter, the dosage of surface active agent and the weight rate between filming matter and release matter. So a kind of release agent with excellent release capability, stability and solidy is find, and optimal component and proportion of release agent will be confirmed. The stockpile stability of release agent and coating film solidify are well by experimenting; The peeling intensity of release layer (the cling strength between coating film and PET film)is tested little by using 180°peeling method; Using Visual C++ software to compile program which can account release percentage, and the release percentage is testified very small, this result can satisfy release request in heat transfer process; The result of TEM also show dispersion state and microscopic structure of release matter in coating matter, and explain the release effect of release agent by microcosmic technic.It indicate: The release agent prepared with PMMA as coating matter which dissolves in toluene, nano-SiO2 as release matter and surface active agent, and its coating film has excellent transparent capability, luster degree and attrition-resistant, the stockpile stability of release agent and coating film solidify are well, the peeling intensity and release percentage are all little.
