As one kind of high molecular weight suffocate hydroxybenzene antioxidant, antioxidant 1010 is widely used in plastic, rubber, synthetic fiber,elastomer and petroducts fields. Antioxidant 1010 is regarded as the favorite antioxidant for polyolefins over demestic and external. At present , the domestic antioxidant 1010 is unsatisfied because light bulk density,bad flowability and agglomeration easily in transporsation .The solubility of antioxidant 1010 was measured by static method in twenty-five solvent systems such as methanol-water, ethanol-water,ethanol- glycol and so on. Cooling crystallization can be used to refine antioxidant 1010 because solubility of antioxidant 1010 incresed with temperature.Based on the solubility data, suitable solvents were confirmed. The experiments provide the base data and academic foundation to crystallization processes and industrial magnification.The study on solid-liquid equilibrium can avoid many unnecessary experiments,but also can provide direction to industry magnification.Considering the great molecular volume of antioxidant 1010,the activity coefficient of free volume was introduced into UNIFAC equation and (v|~)M was considered as a parameter K simutaniously. Then a new model UNIFAC-K was founded. The systems of this paper were predicted with UNIFAC ,UNIFAC-FV and UNIFAC-K equation. The result of UNIFAC-K fitted well with the experimental dataand the average error was 1.41%.All of this shows that the new model is successful.The cooling crystallization process was studied in this paper. The correlation between the different solvent system and the crystal-form was studied especialy. At the same time,the effect of cooling speed, seeds inputted, temperature of seeds inputted and quantity of seeds on products performance have been reviewed experimently. The DSC instrument was used to measure the melting poit,melting enthalpy and half-peak width of crystal products.The crystal-form of the products was determined by X-ray Diffraction.These test method ensure the trustness of experiment data.
