It is over important for the development of wood-based panel industry in China to improve testing methods which are used to measure formaldehyde emission of wood-based composite. Measurement of formaldehyde emission with different wood-based composites such as blockboard, particleboard, MDF, laminate floor and layer parquet through 40L desiccator method, 9-11L desiccator method, perforator method and chamber method were studied in this paper. The optimum testing method is acquired through comparatively analyzing the experimental results. The researching results are listed as follow:(1) Comparatively analyzing four testing methods that are used in the research, it can come to conclusion that the experimental results of 9-11L desiccator method is best for measuring formaldehyde emission of blockboard.(2) As far as particleboard and MDF are concerned, the experimental results of 9-11L desiccator method and perforator method are better than that of others methods.(3) The conclusion of laminate floor is that 9-11L desiccator method and 40L desiccator method whose experimental results are better than that of other methods is suggested to measure formaldehyde emission of laminate floor.(4) According to the experimental data of MDF, it can draw a conclusion that the experimental results of 9-11L desiccator method are the best.
