Curved wood furniture has its own characteristics which have been increasingly appreciated by customers. Now there are some obvious defaults in the domestic way to make curved product such as the waste of material during the production and environment pollution which caused by chemical process. In the paper, pHysical method to soften wood samples has been studied and the softening temperature, softening press and softening time which have influence on the effect of curved samples have been analyzed to acquire the optimum technological parameters. The paper can be served as reference to the theoretical basis on producing cured wooden furniture in the factories. The study results show that the MOR of samples under various softening processing is different. According to MOR values, the optimum softening technological parameters for Manchuria ash (Fraxinus mandsurica), suger maple (Acer saccharum) and rubber wood (Hevea brasiliensis) are as follow respectively: softening temperature 118℃, softening press 0.09MPa, softening time 4h; softening temperature 118℃, softening press 0.09MPa, softening time 3.5h; softening temperature 112℃, softening press 0.055MPa, softening time 3h.Under different softening technology, effects of final moisture content, temperature, aging time and absorbing moisture on dimensional stability of samples are investigated. The results show that final moisture content of samples is different in the same drying conditions. The smaller is the difference between the final moisture content and EMC in the area, the better dimensional stability of samples. With increasing heating time, sample chord and rate of change reduces. Absorbing moisture has remarkable effect on dimensional stability of samples. When samples are soaked in water for 4h, they have lost use value. Under optimum softening technology of three wood species respectively, satisfied dimensional stability of rubber wood samples is acquired when aging for 2h, but both Manchuria ash and suger maple samples have better dimensional stability when aging for 6h.Under optimum softening technology of rubber wood, Manchuria ash and suger maple, respectively, bleaching technology of three wood species are as follow: parameters of rubber wood are pH 10~11, concentration of H2O2 30%, bleaching temperature 45~55℃ and bleaching time 2h; that of Fraxinus mandsurica are bleaching temperature 45~55℃, pH 10~11, concentration of H2O2 30% and bleaching time 2h; that of maple are pH 10~11, bleaching temperature 55~65℃, concentration of H2O2 30% and bleaching time 1.5h.
