In order to investigate the effect of different topdressing methods of potassium nitrate on internal and external quality of flue-cured tobacco, it was used for Jiyan-10 to the topdressing of potassium nitrate, the result showed that internal and external quality about five different topdressing potassium nitrate were superior to the control (CK), among which the quality of treatment for five times spraying and 15 kg potassium nitrate per hectare was best and its yield, output value, average price and fine tobacco ratio were higher than other treatments, respectively 2300.57 kg per hectare,32645.09 yuan per hectare,14.19 yuan per kilogram and 33.50%, the effect of foliar spray fertilizer was better than hole fertilizer, the effect of foliar spray fertilizer for five times was better than three times, the effect of foliar spray fertilizer for 15 kg potassium nitrate per hectare was better than 8 kg.For improving the quality of tobacco after baking, baking process were prolonged the time of yellowing and color of Jiyan-9 and Jiyan-10, the result showed that amylase activity of two varieties appeared two peaks in the baking process, respectively, in baked 45 h and 75 h. After baking, total sugar, reducing sugar and starch content of the two trials with prolonged were declined compared to normal baking, while increased in nicotine content, which were reduced more total sugar, sugar and starch content for extending the yellowing period and increased more nicotine, the chemical composition of tobacco leaf were more coordinated.
