Valve body is the most important one of the components of large diameter valve, regardless of the development of new products design or the elder improve product structure. Valve body is inseparable from the development and improvement of the design. How to develop such strength design of the valve body and how to improve the structure of the valve to reduce timber are currently valve problems to be solved. If a better understanding can be more accurate on the stress distribution of valve body, no doubt, the design process will be shorten and enormous economic benefits will be brought. Therefore, such as stress analysis for the project is of great practical value. In this paper, by using large-scale finite element software, the finite element analysis and optimization were carried out, which took large-diameter valve in the valve as the main subjects.Have built large-caliber valve entity model, based on the boundary conditions of overall structure, the static valve body was analyzed under test conditions imposed load. The distribution and stress of valve was researched. It can draw a conclusion that the stress concentration phenomenon of large-diameter valve is clear and can't meet the requirements. So it still has a large optimization space, and through the literature of finite element method the stress valve accuracy was calculated. Using a process-optimization method, with the greatest effect stress as the objective function, optimal results show that the valve maximal stress decreased 16.7%, the stress distribution is more evenly, and occurrence of fatigue failure may be reduced.Finally, the arrangement of strengthening rib on the valve body maximal effect was discussed, and concluded that it just needed that the ribs should meet the minimum thickness of wall.Papers can play a good role in guiding for the design department and can reduce business costs, bring significant economic benefits.
