There are many process valves in the whole processing procedures of coal chemical industry unit.The coal chemical industry unit mainly features in high temperature,high pressure,as well as lots of hard solid particles being in media,therefore the valves such as gate valve and check valve used in traditional petrochemical industry are usually not applicable here.Large quantity of solid particles in coal chemical industry process media are easy to cause valve wearing,washing,blocking and adhering,which leads to valve switch failure and even leakage,eventually the total failure of the unit.The external valve in coal chemical industry unit has undergone long-term technical tackling and repeated test,which is tend to be mature in technology.Concerning the deficiency in using traditional process valve on coal chemical industry unit,the externally researched and manufactured sliding plate valve with the characteristics of simple structure and little installing space plays an extremely important role for solving the above problems.However,lots of problems still occur in the application of sliding plate valve,for example the inner leak,outer leak,and jam of open-close of valve after long time operation.In this paper,the parameters like service environment,structure and media properties of process valve in coal chemical industry unit are taken as basis,and the external valve research conditions are taken as reference after the abnormal valve with typical service condition is selected.Then,design sliding plate valve structure and choose sealing surface materials through specific calculation(strength,rigidity,operating torque,flow speed,etc.).Meanwhile,do specific improvement on structure in response to the problems revealing in coal chemical industry unit traditional process valve.Additionally,optimize valve structure,solve jam of open-close in valve operation and sealing leak by means of values simulation analysis,which makes sliding plate valve better in coal chemical industry unit application.In this paper,the main failure mode of sliding plate valve is gained by survey and analysis of valve's service condition.Both sliding plate valve sealing structure design and material selection get improved by values simulation analysis.The valve sealing structure is optimized by values simulation analysis on sliding plate valve key sealing structure,which provides theoretical basis to sliding plate valve dealing structure design.At last,sliding plate valve sealing structure design methods are obtained after manufacturing of sliding plate valve prototype as well as verification on sliding plate valve sealing structure by type test.
