To Design A Micro Continuous Caster

Continuous metal cast process is a new technology of liquid steel directly casting into billet steel, which ultimately changes one die casting ruling century and dramatically simplifies production process from liquid steel to billet steel.In contrast to die cast, the continuous casting has many obvious advantages:High lumber recovery, low production cost, low basic building investment, improve working conditions ,increase productivity.Continuous casting equipment consists of crystallizer (first cooling), vibration device, after cooling device and casting blank guide , straightening machine , drive machine etc.In the paper general process of designing light cross-section continuous caster is discussed, and components assembly and parts of continuous caster are introduced, crystallizer and casting blank are analyzed for temperature field using finite element software-Ansys .Crystallizer is straight, of which structure simple, manufacture easy, be liable to alignment while installing, copper low consumption, working life long, and thermal conductivity of which is higher than that of arc crystallizer. Its vibration mode adopts sinus vibration, and which maintains negative slip phase, transition of speed and acceleration goes fairly smoothly, less attack on mechanism.Vibration stand adopts two-involute-cylindrical-gear transmission, the transmission ratio is 2.1×2.3=4.83,do some stress analysis of gear and main draft.The holder of after cooling adopts welded three-steelplate structure, of which easy manufacturing, high strength. It consists of nine groups of grips, five slide plates, which ensures casting blankIn order to deduce the press on casting blank by withdrawal roll ,we straighten casting blank by using four groups of withdrawal straightening .Depressed system of upper withdrawal roll is hydraulic, the manner can ensure constant press on casting blank, be liable to improve its surface quality. Transmission system of withdrawal roll uses 3ZI-epicyclic gear transmission, epicyclical gear transmission ,of which the volume small, the quality less, the structure tense, the load capability good, the transmission efficiency high, the motion smoothly, the transmission ratiobig (80.3) .Do some analysis of crystallizer and casting blank thermal field, establishment of crystallizer and casting blank internal thermal field, reference of analysis results, all of these will benefit continuous casting in design.
