The development of continuous casting technology lies on the development of continuous casting mould oscillation technology. The development of mould oscillation regulation from immobility to rectangle oscillation regulation, echelon oscillation regulation and sinusoidal oscillation regulation which is used widely at present, already has quite great progress, but the character of sinusoidal oscillation regulation dependent only on its swing and frequency, it has a little autocephaly variable, the ability of wave adjusting is small, and the negative gliding time will increase flowing the decreased oscillation frequency and increased swing, the exorbitant oscillation and swing will increase stability of the system, and increase the friction between the casting billet and the mould.The paper studies the mould oscillation regulations according to continuous casting techniques. First of all, it introduces the effect of mould oscillation, evolvement of the oscillation regulations, analyzes simply the character of kinds of oscillation regulation. Second, it analyzes the sinusoidal, non-sinusoidal, and triangle oscillation regulation by Matlab soft, it analyzes the character of kinds of oscillation regulation by the comparison of techniques parameter, finally though the comparison with the sinusoidal function, mainly analyzes the character of continuum non-sinusoidal function which is made by Demaecker company, conclude that the non-sinusoidal oscillation regulation is better than the sinusoidal oscillation regulation, its advantages as follows, in the positive gliding time, the difference between oscillation speed of mould vm and pulling speed vc is decreased, it can decrease casting billets'friction which is brought by mould, and decrease pulling stress, so that decrease ripping; the longer positive gliding time, the more consumption of protect sediments, so that it lubricates the mould become conveniently; and in the negative gliding time, the difference between oscillation speed of mould vm and pulling speed vc is increase, so the stress on the casting billet is increased , and this is propitious to the billet pulling off its crust; the negative gliding time is short, it is useful for easing the oscillation trace of casting billet surface. These conclusions have some certain guidance significance for production practice.The paper shows the whole design project of mould hydraulic pressure control system, uses EDA technology to design the mould oscillation wave production machine basing on FPGA, it uses QuartusII soft exploitation environment, adopts VHDL hardware description language to carry out translation and edition of the program.Though configure for the FPGA to produce sinusoidal wave, non-sinusoidal wave, and triangle wave three waves, also by the control module, achieve adjusting for swing and frequency of the waves, finally, we can observe correctness of the outcome from the Oscillograph.
