In long time, L type's lifting board is used in rotary dryer in building material and mineral industry. It has lower volume of production and higher heat loss and lower thermal efficiency and higher water ratio of production. It works in lower operating efficiency because in tube there are wind hole from import to output and lower spreading degree of crude material in tube section and smaller area being in thermal air contact with crude material and shorter time of heat transmission and mass transmission, these factors influence heat exchange of thermal air and crude material in tube. The wind hole in section of tube correlates with number and angleθof L type's lifting board, and correlates with rotation rate of tube. Although many specialists advantageously study lifting material, researchs is theoretical and isn't supported by experimentation because it is sophisticated to lift material of tube.The article analyses questions of rotary dryer. The model of rotary dryer is built in laboratory . By experimentation we study varing principle to lift raw material with varing angleθof L type's lifting board and varing rotation rate. We put forward varing principle to lifting material and the instantaneous working number of lifting board and varing principle of wind hole in section of tube, we put forward methods that wind hole is reduced in section of machine tube and heat exchange is strengthened inside machine. It is demonstrated that optimal rotation rate of rotary dryer correlates with angleθof L type's lifting board. Rotary dryer should have different optimal rotation rate with L type's lifting board being different angle . Optimal rotation rate increases with angleθof lifting board. Therefore rotation rate is determinated by angleθof lifting board. Optimal rotation rate is determinated by L type's lifting board being different angle. Basing on study in laboratory and theorical analysis, The new assembling lifting boards are designed, which overcome questions using L type's lifting board. Industrial application prove that effective results have been made and it have an advance over other in technological performances when the new lifting boards are used in production.
