It means to the underground mine that the stability to the excavation and support of the roadway is the precondition for the safe production in mine. Because of the descending of the roadway depth and the influence of the complex condition of the geology, it's more difficult to maintain the roadway, that influences the safe production in the mine seriously. The design method used in the excavation and support of the roadway is the method of the engineering analogy and empiricism, that method is simple, but the condition of geology is complexity and variety, while making use of engineering analogy method to carry on the design and construction of the building structure which is underground, it's difficult to choose the appropriate parameters which reflect the property of the surrounding rock truly, and the analysis to the loading of the underground structure is complex, the method of engineering analogy exists the weakness that can't overcome. Combining with the actual production of longdong area of Daye mine, this paper chose "Numerical Simulation Study on Deformation Mechanism of Roadway and Support Effect" as the subject, it studies into the deformation mechanism and support effect of the surrounding rock in theory in order to guide the production. It contains theoretic and realistic meaning.This paper illuminates the geology condition of longdong research area of Daye mine first, based on that, it studies the engineering geological characteristics and the physical mechanics property of rock through the spot engineering geological investigation and the indoor test etc. it also provides a basis for the choice of the parameters use by the numerical simulation works. Secondly, this paper builds up two finite element models at the levels of -62m and -74m in longdong area of Daye mine by the software of FLAC3D.it simulates the condition of the stress and the strain after the excavation, it also analyzes the deformation mechanism of the surrounding rock, and it monitors the variety condition of the adjacent rock's displacement by use the convergence monitoring method at the level of -74m in longdong area of Daye mine, it provide the result verification to the numerical simulation study on deformation mechanism with the result of the monitoring.
