In this dissertation, we investigated the morphology development, the thermal behavior, the rheological property and mechanical property of isotactic polypropylene (iPP)/poly(ethylene-co-octene) (POE) blends, which were prepared by two type of important and dominating devices in industry. One type was the internal mixer and the other was the twin-screw extruder that can be opened on-line.Firstly, we utilized an internal mixer to prepare iPP/POE blends at 200℃,60rpm for 5 minutes. After melting we made some melt samples quench in liquid nitrogen and some anneal in air to room temperature. The mechanical properties of so-made specimens were compared and we found that the mechanical property of quenched blends had a better improvement than that for annealed blends: the maximum load were increased by 50%(90/10),80%(70/30) and 114%(50/50) respectively;the tensile intensity were increased by 4.2%(90/10),16.2%(70/30)and 53%(50/50) respectively; the break elongation of quenched blends was about ten times higher than its counterparts. We had an explanation...
