Coal gangue is a kind of separated wastes of the process of coal excavating and picking. It is one of the largest amounts of the industrial solid wastes in China. Comprehensive utilization of coal gangue makes a great sense in saving resources, protecting environment, enhancing economical and social benefit and optimizing the source arrangement effectively. The several traditional approaches about comprehensive utilization of coal gangue are making brick, substituting clay as raw materials of cement, using as cement mixture, and so on. But since the low ratio of utilization of coal gangue to its output and surplus, it is necessary to generalize and extend traditional utilization methods and to investigate new uses.The process of producing the low temperature-synthesized fly ash cement is different from ordinary Portland cement. The cement has many unique features. It has the properties of Portland cement and aluminate cement, high utilization ratio of fly ash(more than 70%), less requirement of raw materials and blending, low burning temperature(700℃ to 800℃), etc. From the view of materology, this thesis integrated production technology of cement, used the technology of the low temperature-synthesized fly ash cement, and explored the feasibility of preparation of low temperature-synthesized coal gangue cement. The author attempted to produce a kind of functional admixture of negative environmental burdening, and to provide a new idea to comprehensive utilization of coal gangue.At first, the low temperature-synthesized coal gangue cement was prepared with active coal gangue and the technology of the low temperature-synthesized fly ash cement. The influence and results of related factors to the compressive strength of the low temperature-synthesized coal gangue cement was analyzed, and the optimum technical parameters of this technique were determined by the orthogonal experiment.
