Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the one of the five biggest general plastic, that has very enormous output and consumption. However, It is well known that PVC has poor thermal stability. In order to prevent PVC from changing color and decomposing, Heat stabilizers are a necessary component in PVC products. So far, lead salts, metal soaps, organotin mercaptides, and other organic compounds such as epoxidized soybean oil, phosphite ester etc. are known as thermal stabilizing agents for PVC, and the composition of stabilizers for PVC has been widely studied.Organotin heat stabilizer is effective, nontoxic or low-toxic, transparent. A lot of organotin compounds can be used for PVC stabilizer, but no more than twenty kinds of organotin compound have realized industrialization on a large scale. In our country, the production and application of the new-type heat stabilizer cannot keep up with the development of PVC industry, reinforcing the development and application research of organotin heat stabilizer has been inevitable.The heat stabilizers and the PVC product having heat stabilizers should be handled with care considering their effect on human health. because butyl organotin has non-toxic or low-toxic, The main task of this paper is expected to obtain a new variety of organotin stabilizer, synthesizing a series of butyltin compounds, and testing their primary applied properties.The research plan of this paper is that the three functional bonds in central Sn atom of butyltin will be bonded with varying function groups. These radicle groups are lauric and mono-butyl phthalate. The reactive condition of synthesization for mono-butyl phthalate was investigated, high-yield products were obtained through controlling reaction temperature and time well. Four butyl organotin heat stabilizer used for PVC were synthesized, and the configuration of synthesized butyl organotin was investigated on the basis of IR spectrum. The experiment has advantages that raw and processed materials is cheap and process is simple to handle ,it is easy to realize industrialization.
