The paper deals with the preparation and evaluation of anticorrosive paintings which aim at the ocean atmosphere. The anticorrosive coating is prepared with lamellar zinc particles as the sacrificial anode material, and as a binder the epoxyester resin or ethyl silicate is used. CPVC is tested from the permeation rate method, the mechanical performance and anticorrosive ability of the coating is evaluated from the hardness, abrasion, adhesion, impacting, bending and salt spay test. The connection of lamellar zinc particles content and the anticorrosive efficiency of the coating was found.The study of anticorrosive painting which is mainly prepared with epoxy resin and lamellar zinc particles: The anticorrosive coatings were prepared with epoxy resin and different lamellar zinc particles concentration, such as 20wt%, 25wt%,30wt%,35wt%,40wt%,45wt%. The performance of the coating was evaluated. The result indicated that better abrasion and impact ability could be attained at a lower PVC range. The highest hardness and best adhesion capacity were showed at the concentration of zinc particles around CPVC=48.36%.The mechanical performance and anticorrosive ability of the coating showed a worse quality at higher PVC. Considered all the results tested, to reach the best anticorrosive ability and mechanical performance, the most appropriate concentration of lamellar zinc is around 20wt%~25wt%.The study of anticorrosive painting which is mainly prepared with ethyl silicate and lamellar zinc particles: The anticorrosive coatings were prepared with ethyl silicate and different lamellar zinc particles concentration, such as 20wt%, 25wt%,30wt%,35wt%,40wt%,50wt%. The performance of the series was evaluated the same way as the former one. The result indicates that most status showed the same regular pattern as the epoxy resin anticorrosive coating pigment. Considered all the results tested, the best anticorrosive ability and mechanical performance of the coating can be attained at the range PVC30wt%~35wt%.Compared with these series of anticorrosive coatings, the anticorrosive ability of epoxy resin series anticorrosive coating pigment was better than the ethyl silicate series coating pigment, while the former one exhibited a longer drying time quantum. The heat resisting property of ethyl silicate series coating pigment was much higher, which was more suitable for the meet of short time anticorrosive need.
