During the production of cement, the workers observing the blaze always look into the burning circs in the kiln cement and estimate the temperature of ripe material and blaze and the quantity of crude material. Then they adjust the pressure rocker at the head of kiln as so to control the quantity of coal. At the same time, they need draw the curve of some important data in the register form. So their workload and labor intensity are great, in addition, their labor condition is very vile and dangerous.In order to improve these instances , this paper founds the measuring and controlling system of cement kiln, with CCD imaging principle, image collecting and processing technology, colorimetric method, VC++6.0 development tool, SQL Server data-base, ADO visited method and serial communication controlling.This system mostly realizes four functions: the inspecting temperature based on image, the storage on real time of dynamic data-base, creating parameter's graph and controlling the quantity of coal. First we need screen the image in kiln with CCD, then show the dynamic image on the screen of computer using the card of collecting image. Making use of colorimetric principle we can put up some operation aiming at images, consequently receive the temperature of ripe material and blaze and show then on the main interface. We also can save the image,the temperatures and other data to data-base. Workers can transfer the parameters in data-base according to their demand, then these parameters would show their curves or texts on graph automatically. In addition, this system also can control MICROMASTER 440 transducer using the serial communication of computer and RS-485 corresponding line, sequentially adjust the speed of motor and the quantity of coal.The theory research, software debugging and the experiments on locale all indicate that the foundation of measuring and controlling system of cement kiln has important value on detecting parameters, saving data and controlling the quantity of coal. It also improves the labor condition of workers and accelerate the development of cement industry.
