Moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR)which received much attention in recent years is an innovation based on biofilm reactors, in which carriers adhering microbe were fluidized in the reactor, turnover and move with water. MBBR possesses the advantage of both activated sludge process and biofilm process. MBBR show the features of high handling capacity, low consumption, no plug, structure tight, no sludge back-flow, and simple operation.NaSCN recycling waste water and polymerization waste water from Acrylic Fiber Factory, Daqing Petrochemical Complex, was treated with MBBR in this paper, which is so toxic that it is impossible to be treated with the existing activated sludge process.Cylindrical carrier with specific surface of 1223m2/m3 and 60% filling ratio was used to carry out MBBR quick start and domestication phrase. It is found that NaSCN recycling wastewater could be easily treated with MBBR, and one pretreatment process is needed for polymerization waste water. For synthetic waste water containing NaSCN, the biggest SCN- load is 210.99 mg/L for single MBBR. With two MBBR in series in pH 7.0, HRT 24h, aeration intensity 36L/h, input SCN- and CODCr concentrations 209 and 369.6mg/L, output water SCN- and CODCr concentrations could be 0.15mg/L and 28mg/L, respectively, with removing efficiencies of 99.9% and 92.4% respectively. SCN- degradation dynamics of MBBR was investigated and it is illustrated that degradation reaction of SCN- in low concentration and high concentration fits Mono equation and its corollary, and SCN- domesticate process fits Stover-Kincannon.Activated carbon adsorption was used as pretreatment process before MBBR. CODCr could be reduced from 1667~1782mg/L to 427~433mg/L at adsorption temperature of 30℃, 50g activated carbon in 1000mL original sewage, mixed 4h magnetically, and furthermore with MBBR for 48h CODCr could reach 67.2mg/L, removing efficiency being 96~97.2%. Photo-catalytic regeneration for adsorbed activated carbon was preliminary studied.
