In a flock of semiconductors, TiO2 has many merits of stable chemical reaction, high photocatalytic efficiency, low cost, nonpoisonoue material and so on.But TiO2 only takes advantage of uitraviolet ray.The ultilization of visible light is very low.So technology of changing TiO2`s quality has been the hot pot in recent years. In this thesis, mineral kaolinite was used as substrate to prepare nano TiO2/Ce compound photocatalyst by sol-gel method. Wastewater of azo dye was decooured by the photocatalyst TiO2 and the optimal technique condition was obtained. The results of experiments showed :The compound photocatalyst of TiO2/Ce sestrained the change of the crystal of TiO2 in high calcinations temperature .It also reduced the cohesion of TiO2.The concentration of the Ce dopant and calcinations temperature showed remarkable effect to photodegration .Through the analyzing of the individual elements,it got the best experiment conditions : The concentration of the Ce dopant was 3%; The calcinations temperature was 550℃;The calcition time was 2 hours ;The reaction time was 2.5 hours. In these conditions ,the phtodegration was enhanced quickly. In additional ,because the photocatalyst of TiO2 can kill the common pathogenic bacteria in the condition of light. The thesis also researched the effect of bactericidal rate on TiO2/Ce. Through the analyzing of the individual elements, the results showed : The reaction time was 30 minutes ;The concentration of the Ce dopant was 3%; The calcinations temperature was 550℃.The better of the numberof time ,the better of photodegration effect. When there were UV and TiO2/Ce ,it had the best bactericidal rate.It was enhanced strongly .The supreme bactericidal rate was 95.8%.It nearly killed the whole of bacteria.
