Furfural extract oils, the by-products during the lube base oils production process, are the non-ideal composition detracted from of lube base oils by furfural solvent. They are typical high-aromatic oil containing saturated paraffins, jellies and asphaltenes. Rubber processing oils were also studied in this research, which has showed good compatibility with rubber, and reduced rubber manufacturing cost.3. to be fuel alternatives for diesel boilersLow-viscosity furfural extract oils were chosen to be developed as fuel alternatives by adding light cuts with higher flash point, which has good atomization property and low fuel cost for diesel boilers.4. to be developed as ink solvent oilsInk solvent oil requires high aromatics content, superior solubility with resins and certain releasing capability of saturated hydrcarbons. Furfural extract oils with appropriate properties were chosen as raw materials to be developed as black ink solvent oil by adding low viscosity component.
