Laser machining is applied widely in the industry for non-contact, high precision and wide application, etc. Although the domestic laser machining market lags 20 years behind the developed countries', the laser machining market grows fast due to the Chinese flying economy. The technology of laser machining depends on the development of laser machining system. The capability of laser machining system is affected not only by the laser and the machining equipment, but also the control system. It determines the ability, precision and machining level of the laser machining system. The USA and Japan emphasize to develop it. So we should realize the importance of developing the laser machining control system, and put it as the keystone of internal research. This dissertation brings forward digital multifunctional laser machining system based on deep analysis and investigation. The system inherits the transmission agent and the lamp-house from the old systems; designs a new control system based on the DSP and the microchiop. These changes develop the laser machining effect and make it more convenient for users. The laser machining system can do the vector cutting, vector carving and bit carving.Main works have been achieved:1. Referred to related data and determined the whole design project, including the machining modes and the system structure.2. Managed the design of the control system based on the DSP and the microchip.3. Debugged the hardware of the control system, including the DSP module, the microchip module and the control module.4. Developed and debugged the program and algorithm of the DSP and the microchip.5. Debugged the function of the laser machining system. Completed three model machines and gave users to work.
