According to the requirement of real-time control in welding process, this paper design the measuring system of welding parameter based on DSP.In design process, we use the DSP as the core of the control system. It can realize the real-time detection of welding current and arc voltage; the new apparatus can realize the real-time control and detection with welding speed and so on.The hardware of the detection system for welding parameter is designed in this paper. Firstly we select hall sensor as the detecting element, then design the sampling circuitry and display circuitry for welding parameter measuring system based on DSP which can realize real-time detection and display for welding parameters in welding process. The weld parameter detecting system is the precondition for controlling welding current and arc voltage in the future.Welding speed is one of the key parameters affecting welding quality in automatic control system. The paper designs the structure of the travel mechanism according to operating requirement; the apparatus can achieve precise transmission for welding travel mechanism.The hardware driving circuits and software system of welding travel mechanism are designed according to the precise requirement of controlling the system. The circuitry can realize speed control, commutation control and start and stop of the mechanism. The device has the function of over voltage and over current protected, etc. The software can deal and transfer analogue data of welding parameter by AD unit of DSP. Driving signal of welding travel mechanism was outputted by the event manager of DSP. The detection and accommodation of welding speed are also conducted by the event manager of DSP.The paper presents experimental result of the welding current, arc voltage and the experimental waveform which expresses the position of welding torch. The result indicates that the welding parameters detecting system has reach the intention of requirement. And the DSP controlling system has high dependability and anti-jamming capacity, also achieving good controlling effect.
