SiCp reinforced Al matrix composites have a lot of good properties such as great rigidity, specific strength, specific module and wearability, and they are widely used in many industries and have a good prospect, but its application is limited by the problems of welding technology. Friction stir welding is a new solid phase joining method, which is invented by The Welding Institute (TWI). Compared with the traditional welding method, FSW has many advantages and it has been applied to many industrial fields. However, the research of the application of FSW is still a significant subject nowadays.In the dissertation, FSW experiments of SiCp reinforced 2024 Aluminum composite have been done.
