The paper was based on preparing the bulk amorphous alloy and testing it's friction and wear property in Cu-Zr-Al system, the process of preparing the bulk amorphous alloy by magnetic levitation melting - copper modle suction method was studied ,what was more, prepared the metallic ,glass matrix composites by unidirectional solidification.The friction and wear properties were studied by using the Pin-on-Disc friction tester and SEM,EDS .The main results and conclusions of experiments were listed as follows :The process of magnetic levitation melting - copper modle suction method was studied, the results showed that bulk amorphous alloy's GFA was affected by the melt superheating temperature,during prepared the Cu50Zr42Al8 bulk amorphous ,there was an optimal superheating temperature.The grope for preparing metallic glass matrix composite was processed on unidirectional solidification furnace with bigger temperature gradient.It showed that , with the increased drawing velocity ,the microstructure became thinning at the fixed temperature gradient,and from cellular structure to dendritic structure then particle size distribution stucture.The metallic glass matrix composites enhanced by dendritic structure and micrometer crystal were prepared.The friction and wear properties of Cu50Zr42Al8 bulk amorphous allloy were tested and compared with Zr65Al17.5Ni10Cu17.5 amorphous alloy,the affection of speed on friction coefficient and wear mechanism were discussed.The Cu50Zr42Al8 bulk amorphous alloys showed worse properties at lower slinding speed,and serious adherence at high sliding speed.When the speed higher than 0.8 m/s ,it had better wear resistence than Zr65Al17.5Ni10Cu17.5 amorphous alloy.Added little Cr , Ni into Cu5Zr42Al8, the glass-forming ability ,thermal property of the alloy and friction and wear properties were studied.It was indicated that (Cu50Zr42Al8)99(Cr)1 and (Cu50Zr42Al8)99(Ni)1 still had big GFA,the friction property at lower speed and the speed of incurred adherence were all increased by adding Cr element, the friction property in lower speed was also increased by adding Ni elment,but its properties increased unobviously at high speed.At the same time, it showed that the load and sliding speed were effected on friction coefficient and wear mechanism of (Cu50Zr42Al8)99(Cr)1 and (Cu50Zr42Al8)99(Ni)1 amorphous alloys.At last, the friction coefficient and wear mechanism at 5N load and increasingsliding speed of (Cu50Zr42Al8)98(Cr2Ni)2 bulk amorphous alloy were tested duo to its better corrosion resistence property. The results showed that it had better wear resistence when the sliding speed below 1.0m/s.
