These years, H-beam steel is widely used because of its excellent mechanics feature. So the analysis and innovation of H-beam rolling process becomes one of the most popular research programs all over the world. This project is about the rolling of multi-pass cogging of H-beam. The three-dimension model coupled thermo-mechanical of finite element method (FEM) was established, the FEM results were analyzed and compared with the fact.In order to get the exact data of FEM material, the coupled thermo-mechanical test of Q235B in high temperature was completed by Gleeble1500 equipment. The connection between stress and strain was curved at different velocity in the environment that the temperature changed from 800℃ to 1200℃. The material feature was expressed by a few of formulas as the constitutive model.The three-dimension model coupled thermo-mechanical of FEM was founded to analysis the cogging of H-beam in middle-sized. The environment parameters and initial conditions and boundary conditions were set according to the fact of factory, In order to avoid the elements being distorted too much, the elements of deformable body were remeshed in the simulation process to keep the precision. The equivalent plastic strain and thermal parameter were saved and transported to the new elements of deformable body. It was conformed to the reflection of conservation and makes the simulation of FEM completely and exactly.The regularities of distribution in stress and temporary field of different step of rolling were obtained. The results of FEM simulation which were the temperature of piece and the force of roller were compared with the fact to prove that the model of FEM about rolling was apt. Analysis of the FEM result, the movement of metal inside of the piece could be researched on, the forward slip and backward slip could be simulated and accurate calculation of spread could be curved.The thermal and mechanical parameters were obtained by FEM simulation. So the project was important to H-beam rolling because it can improve the rolling process and forecast the outlook and the quality of the H-beam piece.
