In recent years,the domestic and international power transmission and transformation industry has developed rapidly,especially the UHV transmission project.The core equipment of UHV transmission engineering is converter valve,which is the heart of the entire transmission project.The internal frame of the converter valve is constructed by composite I-beam,which is also supported by composite I-beam as the unit modules of the important electrical components in the converter valve.Therefore,the preparation,performance research and standard establishment of composite I-beams are particularly important.In this paper,two kinds of composite I-beams with different performances are developed according to the different requirements of composite I-beams for UHV with different voltage levels.One way is to get U-shaped beams by hot pressing with epoxy resin coated glass cloth,and then to form I-shaped beams by U-shaped beams back to back.The other way is to use vinyl epoxy resin impregnated glass mat to directly form composite I-beams by moulded.Both sets of solutions are finally obtained through the selection,synthesis research and production of resin,the selection of glass fiber reinforced materials,dipping or gluing process,mold design,hot press forming process,etc.High performance glass fiber reinforced composite I-beam.This paper mainly studies the synthesis and production of epoxy resin,the synthesis and production of vinyl resin,the thickening improvement of vinyl epoxy resin,the gluing process of epoxy resin glass cloth,the manufacturing process of vinyl epoxy resin glass felt preprepreg material,the design of die and the hot pressing process,and analyses the quality defects of I-beams which are easy to appear in the hot pressing process,and obtains the relevant solutions.A series of performance tests were carried out on the I-beam,such as spline performance test,integral load-bearing test,bending failure,torsional failure and so on.A series of basic data were obtained,and the product standard of composite I-beam for UHV commutation valve was established.On the basis of previous studies,two different schemes are adopted in this paper.Through the selection and synthesis of resin,the understanding of glass fiber reinforced materials,and the selection of different types,the process of immersion or adhesive,mold design,and hot pressing molding,two types of high-performance glass fiber reinforced composite beams were finally obtained.Through experiments,this paper mainly studied the composite application of epoxy resin and 7628 glass cloth,the synthesis and thickening improvement of epoxy vinyl resin,the process of different types of resin,the mold design of u-shaped structure beam and i-shaped structure beam,and the hot pressing process of epoxy resin and vinyl resin products.A series of performance tests such as spline performance test,overall load bearing test,bending force damage,torsion force damage and so on have been carried out by relevant mechanical tests and material performance analysis instruments.Two different types of glass fiber reinforced composite I-beams with excellent performance in all aspects were obtained.
