Drill pipes are indispensably tools of the natural gas industry when they survey and exploder the oil resources. Drill pipe joints are used for connecting the up-drill pipes and the down-drill pipes. Suffering with heavy work torque, they are the weak parts of the oil drill pipes. So there are theoretical and applied values to study the forging molding technology of drill pipes deeply to advance the joints qualities.The first, the thesis studied the forging molding technology blue print of drill pipe joints, and brought forward the technology that using level forge subtend extrusion for joints figuration. The FEM simulation of the forging process of the oil drill pipe joints was performed by DEFORM-3D. The physical simulation of the forging process was performed by physical simulate method, and using olefin as simulate material.On the basis of the analysis of the shape characteristics of the drill pipes, the technology blue print of level forge subtend extrusion have been established; the roughcast dimension and the beforehand roughcast shape dimension have been confirmed. The energetics parameters in the drill pipe joints forming process have been calculated, and the technical parameters of joints die forging product equipment have been brought forward.3-d entities were set up on the basis of the software Pro/ENGINEER, FEM simulation was performed by commercially available FEM software package DEFORM-3D. The metal flowing of the drill pipe joints collectivity and every forming stages have been studied. Analysis of stress, train and temperature of different stages in drill pipe joints forming was performed, the forming rule and energetics parameters of the drill pipe joints subtend thermal extrusion have been obtained.The similar and approximate similar conditions of the metal plastic figuration physical simulation techniques have been analyzed. Applied theolefin composite material that prepared by the material processing engineering subject of Yanshan University as simulative material, we designed the physical simulation experimental blue print of subtend thermal extrusion of drill pipe joints.
