Silk is a kind of natural and biodegradable macromolecule materials. Double cocoon is the main materials to produce floss silk. A new floss silk material was prepared by means of physiochemical characteristics and the old technics was ameliorated. the performance of new floss silk was improved. The new floss silk material is green bedclothing, which can improve quality of people living and cater to customers' pluralistic demands.Different concentrations of lye, velvet solvent, different times of velvet and extra high temperature were used as four factors in orthogonal experiments. Every factor has three levels. Different concentrations of lye and velvet solvent, draw disposal and extra high temperature were used in single factor experiment.(1) There were no significant differences on revert ratios, compression ratios, oiliness ratios and warmth retention ratios after disposals of different concentrations of lye. The revert ratios and compression ratios were better than the prescription of silk quilt guild criterion. And it obtained better warmth retention ratios.There were no significant differences on revert ratios by disposal of different concentrations of velvet solvent, while extremely significant differences on compression ratios, oiliness ratios and warmth retention ratios could be seen clearly. And it is the best when silk was dealt with the 20% concentration of velvet solvent on compression ratios and warmth retention ratios levels. But oiliness ratios which were the highest when it was dealt with 20% concentration of velvet solvent were lower than guild criterion.Using velvet solvent to deal with different times, there were no significant differences on revert ratios and compression ratios, and there were significant differences on oiliness ratios. The oiliness ratios were the lower at 5min and 10min than 15min. There were extremely significant differences on warmth retention ratios of different levels and 5min was the best dealing time.With regard to extra high temperature and boiling water, there were no significant differences on revert ratios, compression ratios and warmth retention ratios. Extremely significant differences could be seen on oiliness ratio and oiliness ratio was the lowest when dealt with boiling water for 10min.(2) The changes of relative breaking extension ratio had significant differences and the changes of tenacity per size had no significant differences when dealt with lye of 0.5%, 1% and 2% concentrate. The breaking extension was the best when dealt with lye of 1%. The breaking extension ratio and tenacity of signal floss silk was higher than signal raw silk. The main structure of floss silk wasβ-sheet when analyzed by FT-IR spectra.(3) Floss silk could support more strength in unit volume after drawing. The breaking extension ratios were extremely significanct difference and tenacity were significant differences between undrawn and drawn floss silk. The absorb peak ofβ-sheet turned fierce after drawn. As a consequence, the molecule of floss silk became more regular and the degree of parallel of molecular was improved.(4) There were significant differences on relative breaking extension ratio and extremely significant differences on tenacity per size after dealing with extra high temperature and boiling water. As a result, the capacity of floss silk to support strength reduced.(5) There were no significant differences in relative breaking extension and tenacity per size in different concentrations of velvet solvent. However the average value of relative breaking extention and tenacity per size were highest when floss silk were dealt with 20% concentrations of velvet solvent.(6)According to the result and integrate evaluation, two proper techniques were advanced:①Using spring double cocoon, lye with concentration of 1 % for 40min, extra high temperature for 10min,dehydration then the green floss silk with flexibility was obtained. (2) if velvet solvent with concentration of 20% for 5min was used before dehydration. Then the floss silk with flexibility was obtained.This study originally clarified the effect of floss silk and changes of structure and characteristics after physiochemical disposals and elevated the flexibility of floss silk. It was a science foundation for producing of floss silk with strength flexibility. It has an important significance for developing application of silk.
