The thesis is based on the production of cylinder body and head of JiangHuai automobile company. After studying the technics of tri-ethylamine cold box in core-making, we can get the following results:The core intensity is declined with the increasing of the original sand's containing water. And If we request the core first intensity ,the water contained in original sand should below 0.1% in which the core intensity is 1. 482MPa .However, When we request the core eventual intensity, the water contained in original sand should not above 0.2% in which the core intensity is 1.608MPa.Meanwhile,the original sand we studied can moisture absorbed itself in the high humid environment.When the relative humidity is 90%,the core after setting 24 hours its average absorbed rate is 0.06%.Then the average absorbed rate is 0.031% when in the relative humidity is 80%) after setting 7days .In the resin mixed technics process:(1). If request the core's first intensity, we should add the resin above 1.8%( the intensity is 1.445MPa ).and when we need the core's final intensity , the resin added should not below 1.6%( the intensity is 1.515MPa). (2).Along with the element- I proportion's increasing, the core's intensity become enhancing at first and then coming down. The core's intensity is maximum (the first intensity is 1.958Mpa and the final intensity is 2.053MPa)when the proportionment is 55:45.The environment humidity also affects the tri-ethylamine cold box core's capability. In the different humid environment(60%,75%,90%), the core setted time prolonged the core's intensity is enhanced in the first instance,and then weakened. At the same time, the core's intensity is diminished along with the relative humidity increased.In addition, the blow amine time and setted time before dipping dope affects the tri-ethylamine cold box core's capability. The core core's intensity is increased along with the blow amine time's prolonged. Then the core dipped dope immediately and after setting 24 hours can get higher intensity than dipped dope after setting 6 hours.
