| The synthesis and characterization of poly lactic acid (PLA) and PLA/bone dust hybrid materials were studied in this paper.PLA with high molecular weight was synthesized with two-step method. The effects of catalyst, reaction time and temperature on yield and molecular weight of PLA were investigated. Yields of lactide and PLA were 48% and 92% respectively with Tin( II) octanoate and aluminium chloride as catalysts.Based on ultrasonic dispersion technique , series of poly lactic acid(PLA)/bone dust hybrid materials were prepared by solution mixing method, and the relative result products were characterized by DSC, FT-IR and SEM. The results indicated that bone dust dispersed equally in PLA matrix and combine with matrix by hydrogenous bonds. Compare with pure PLA material, the heat resistance of PLA/bone-dust material was improved obviously. The invitro degradation of hybrid materials was conducted in normal saline at 37℃. The results showed that after the PLA/bone dust hybrid material degraded in saline for 11 weeks, a three-dimensional porous scaffold was obtained, this character scaffold is available for the growth of cells and blood vessel; because of the presentation of bone dust, the acidity products derived from degradation of PLA could be neutralized at a certain degree, which could decrease the inflammation chance and was beneficial to proliferation of cell, tissue repairing; moreover, bone dust include all inorganic ions of inartificial bone and these ions could gradually release with the degradation of PLA/bone dust hybrid material, this process provides abundant required element to regeneration of bone. |
