ATP could supply energy for life activity. And the mitochondrion is ubiquity in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cell, which is of being sensitive to organ injury .ATPase could hydrolyze ATP to supply activity .So ATP and ATPase are of great importance in the course of metabolism .At present, many reports about the toxicity of DEHP have been reported at home and abroad.. The study even goes deep into the level of molecule. The reports about effects of Di-2-ethylhexyl Phalate and activity of ATPase in mice have not been reported, so this study is important to the biotoxicity study of DEHP.To find out the the effect of Di-2-ethylhexyl Phalate about activity of ATPase in the mitochondrion and viscera cell of mice , the livers, hearts, kidneys, cerebrums and testicles of Kunming mice were applied in this study , and the activity of ATPase was measured through mensurating inorganic phosphorus based on the follow mechanism:With the increase of the dosage of DEHP, the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase in livers,cerebrums and testicles descend at first,and then ascend. the activity in liver reach the lowest activity at the dosage of DEHP 200mg.kg-1.d-1 ,and the activity in cerebrums and testicles reach the lowest activity at the dosage of DEHP 100 mg.kg-1.d-1. but ,In hearts and kidneys ,the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase ascend at first , and then descend . The activity of Na+-K+-ATPase reach the highest activity at the dosage of DEHP 200mg.kg-1.d-1, and the activity of Ca2+ -Mg2+-ATPase reach the highest activity at the dosage of DEHP 300mg.kg-1.d-1.With the increase of the dosage of DEHP, the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+ -ATPase in the mitochondrion of livers and hearts descend .As shown in figure 1 and figure 2, the influence by DEHP on the activity of Na+-K+-ATPase and Ca2+-Mg2+-ATPase of the same organ in mice had similar trend. But the influence by DEHP on the same ATPase of the different organs in mice did not have similar trend. This suggested that the influence of DEHP on ATPase activity is dependent on the mice organs.In this reach of this experience , the activity of ATPase in the mitochondrion and viscera cell of mice can be influenced by DEHP ,which is an important factor which could bring on visceral organ injury as well as chronic toxicity.
