The incidence of harmful algal blooms (HABs) has recently increased in frequency as a long-term trend on a global scale. The formation of harmful algal blooms has affected the health development of aquatic ecosystem. It is also harm for agriculture, water supply and tour. Microcystis aeruginosa blooms is foremost .Algicidal bacteria is now thought that those bacterium may terminate harmful algal blooms and regulate algal population dynamics.More than twenty algae-lysing bacterium were isolated from East lake of Wuhan City which had happened HABs before. The stability experiments were done of them by continued culture. An efficient and steady algae-lysing bacteria was screened out called M4 .The sequence of M4 16SrDNA is assayed and identified. The ruslt is that M4 belongs to Alcaligenes. The experimental result indicated that, the bacterium isolated presented highly algae-lysing effect on Microcystis aeruginosa. It could significantly inhibit the growth of M. aeruginosa when the inoculation concentration is 3.8×10~5 CFU/mL.The concentration is relatively low comparied with other reported algae-lysing bacterium. The soil was collected from different areas of Wuhan. An algae-lysing myxobacteria was isolated from the soil named MY1. The myxobacteria isolated presented better algae-lysing effect on Microcystis aeruginosa7820 than Microcystis aeruginosa7806, Microcystis aeruginosa DS, Plectonema boryanum and wilding Microcystis aeruginosa .The algae-lysing effect on solid culture medium is better and thorough than liquid culture medium.
