The carbon fiber reinforced composite is one of present most advanced composites, It excels in its light quality, thermostable, the corrosion resistance, excellent thermodynamics performance and so on. The characteristics widely serve as the structural material to anticipate the thermos table anti-ablatant. Because its high specific strength and rigidity, the axial longitudinal strength and the resistance to wear, the outstanding thermostable performance, the low thermal-expansion coefficient, good electric conduction, thermal conductivity and fatigue resistance the carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composite have the broad application in automobile, astronautics, industries etc.In this thesis, short carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites were prepared by power metallurgy technology and the samples have a better density. The technology of copper-plating to carbon fiber surfaces were optimized to obtain a solution solve the compatibility between short carbon fibers and matrix martial. The mechanical performance and tribological behavior of the composite were also discussed, the main results are as follows:1. With the increasing of the reinforced fibers, the compactness of composites decreased, the hardness and tensile strength of the composites increased at the beginning and then decreased with the continuously increasing of the reinforced fibers. The hardness of the composites was be twice more than before heat treatment and the tensile strength was be increased by about 80%.2. The main wear behavior of the short carbon fiber reinforced aluminum matrix composites was plastic deformation. The wear mechanisms of the composites were mainly the adhesive wears and oxidative wears, the ratio between them was different with the different ingredients of the composites...
