| Aluminum-based composite materials has the advantage of light quality, thermostable, corrosion resistance, excellent mechanical properties and so on. But with the development of the aviation,spaceflight,auto industry, the traditional carbon fibers,SiC/aluminum-based composite materials can not to meet the increasing requirements. CNTs has the much better mechanical properties than conventional carbon fibers and SiC. So CNTs used to be as a new reinforcement into aluminum-based composite materials has good foreground.1. To improve the interface performance between the carbon nanotubes and aluminum-based, carbon nanotubes are prepared to be coated copper by chemical plating method. We made sure the optimum conditions in the experiment.2. In this thesis, CNTs reinforced aluminum-based composite materials were prepared by powder metallurgy technology with optimum process, achieves the compactness of 97% of pure aluminum-based composite materials and 95% of 2024aluminum-based composite materials.3. The rigidity and tensile strength of CNTs/Al composites were investigated. The main results are as follows:3vol.%CNTs pure aluminum-based and 2024aluminum-based composite materials all had the best mechanical properties. The rigidity and tensile strength all had the different levels to improve.4. The wear rate of CNTs/Al composites are tested under different load and sliding speed. The results show that the wear performances of CNTs/Al composites are significantly better than Al matrix. The wear rate of 3vol.% CNTs/Al composite is the lowest. As the augment of load and sliding speed in the test, the wear rate of materials have the trend of increase. |
