In this thesis the kinetics of the alkaline fading of crystal violet (CV) in Triton X-100 aqueous solutions and Triton X-100/n-butanol/cyclohexane/water microemulsions were studied by UV-vis spectrophotometer. The effect of the structures of Triton X-100 micelles and Triton X-100/n-butanol/cyclohexane/water microemulsions on chemical reactions has been explored. The main content is the following:(1) The kinetics of alkaline fading of crystal violet (CV) in Triton X-100 aqueous solutions was studied at 298K. It has been found thatλmax of Triton X-100 aqueous solutions shift from 591 nm to 600nm with the concentration of Triton X-100 up to 0.02012mol·L-1, and the apparent second order rate constants k2 of the alkaline fading of crystal violet increase with the concentration of Triton X-100. The first cmc and the second cmc have been determined and the effect of aggregates on the rate constants has been also discussed.(2) The conductivity of Triton X-100/n-butanol/cyclohexane/water microemulsions (TX-100: n-butanol=2:1, mass ratio) with different oil% (40%, 50%, 55%) has been measured. According to the conductivity measurement, the range of W/O, bicontinuous and O/W microemulsion and the transition points are determined.(3) The kinetics of alkaline fading of crystal violet (CV) in Triton X-100/ n-butanol/cyclohexane/water microemulsions with different oil% was studied at 298K. It has been found that the apparent second order rate constants k2 of the alkaline fading of crystal violet increase along with the decrease ofωvalue and shows a minimum value near the transition point between W/O and bicontinuous microemulsion. The effect of structures and the transition points of microemulsions on rate constants have been discussed.
