《The main railway technique policy》and《The tenth five-year plan for the railway technique development and the development programming design》give the requirement that the passenger transport special railway should be high speed, the passenger transport high-speed train's speed should be more than 300km/h, the emergence brake distance should be less than 3700m, the rising of the train speed bring the higher requirement to the basic brake device's performance which is very important to the railway vehicle's safety performance.Through the research to the fretting performance of the vermicular graphite iron brake disk, the vermicular graphite iron brake disk has been developed for the quasi-high-speed train. Attention is paid to: the effect of the component and structure of the vermicular graphite iron to the fretting performance and the vermicular graphite iron's thermal fatigue property. We carry out the friction fretting examination using the disk-type friction fretting examination machine made by ourselves, and adopting the vermicular graphite iron/semi-metal equipping pair used by the high-speed train to simulate the actual working condition while the train would be braked. We have gotten the friction coefficient and the fretting rate under the different speed and loads through adjusting the examination machine's rotating speed and the loads. We have investigated the friction performance of the different carbon equivalent, body structure and the graphite configuration through changing the iron component and graphite configuration. We have obtained the vermicular graphite iron's resistance indicator through the thermal fatigue test through heating and cooling repeatedly. Finally, we have carried out the using examination at the district from luoyang to jiafeng and from luoyang to jinan.The test of the brake disk's friction fretting performance has been carried out on the disk-type brake 1:1 brake dynamic examination table. Because the country standard of our country and other countries have no the examination method to test the performance of the brake disk, we have adopted the check experiment to compare the friction- fretting performance between the new brake disk and the present three kinds of brake disk used by the passenger vehicle and have gotten the conclusion that the abrasion resistance of the vermicular graphite iron brake disk is 1.67 times the gray cast iron brake disk and the thermal fatigue is 2.5 times.
